This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Work collaboratively with business and technology partners to prioritize and execute the security vision and strategy, emphasizing secure AI enablement.
• Create secure, scalable, and resilient solutions across AI/ML platforms, generative AI tools, and data ecosystems, while proactively identifying integration risks and architectural shortcomings.
• Act as a subject matter expert in AI security architecture, providing guidance on issues such as model security, prompt injection threats, data leakage, and risks associated with the AI supply chain.
• Develop and implement security guardrails for enterprise AI utilization, which includes data handling policies, access controls, model governance, and monitoring of usage.
• Assess and evaluate third-party AI solutions and vendors to ensure compliance with Blackbaud’s security standards and acceptable risk thresholds.
• Remain updated on emerging technologies and threats, particularly in AI/ML security, adversarial AI, and vulnerabilities related to LLM, translating them into actionable strategies.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to incorporate security controls into AI development pipelines (MLOps / LLMOps), focusing on secure model deployment and runtime protection.
• Define and articulate the current state versus future state AI security architectures, facilitating roadmap development to enhance enterprise AI security capabilities.
• Promote secure AI practices throughout the organization, contributing to the establishment of a culture centered on responsible AI development and usage.
• Participate in security architecture reviews for AI-enabled projects, ensuring decisions are risk-based without causing delivery bottlenecks.
• Mentor and support engineers and architects on secure design patterns for both conventional and AI-driven solutions.
• Over 8 years of experience in Information Technology, with a focus on designing and implementing enterprise-scale solutions.
• More than 5 years of experience in Information Security or Security Architecture.
• Proven experience in securing cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and modern application architectures.
• Strong knowledge of data protection technologies (CASB, DLP, encryption, key management, tokenization, data discovery, etc.).
• Experience in designing and securing AI/ML or data-driven systems, including familiarity with Generative AI / LLM platforms, MLOps / LLMOps pipelines, and model lifecycle management and governance.
• Understanding of AI-specific risks, including prompt injection, data exfiltration, model poisoning, adversarial inputs, and privacy risks related to training data.
• Experience implementing security controls for APIs, microservices, and data pipelines that support AI workloads.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with stakeholders and achieve consensus on complex architectural decisions.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of translating security and AI risks into outcomes relevant to the business.
