This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +1 more state.
β’ Drive the research strategy focused on immunology across pipeline programs to bolster scientific narratives and assess indications, synthesizing literature, experimental findings, and translational insights.
β’ Design and supervise mechanism-of-action studies aimed at clarifying target biology, pathway modulation, and disease relevance through in vitro, ex vivo, and in vivo models, in collaboration with CROs.
β’ Collaborate closely with Translational Medicine, Clinical Pharmacology, and Nonclinical teams to ensure that preclinical findings are aligned with the clinical strategy.
β’ Generate and analyze complex datasets (e.g., cellular immunology, cytokine profiling, pathway analysis), ensuring that conclusions are rigorous and hypothesis-driven.
β’ Identify and validate new targets and pathways to expand the pipeline, utilizing a thorough understanding of disease biology, emerging science, and internal platform capabilities.
β’ Assess and prioritize new indication opportunities by integrating mechanistic rationale, the competitive landscape, and translational feasibility.
β’ Support external collaborations and CRO activities by providing scientific guidance and technical oversight to guarantee the generation of high-quality data.
β’ Write and contribute to scientific documents, including study reports, regulatory sections (e.g., IND-enabling rationale), presentations, and publications.
β’ Present findings to both internal governance teams and external scientific forums.
β’ Keep abreast of advancements in immunology, inflammation, and translational science, applying new insights to enhance program and pipeline strategy.
β’ A PhD in Immunology or a related field with 8β12+ years of pertinent industry experience is mandatory.
β’ Profound expertise in immunology and disease biology, especially concerning autoimmune and inflammatory disease mechanisms.
β’ Comprehensive understanding of drug development, including the influence of preclinical and translational data on clinical strategy.
β’ Experience with immunological assays and platforms (e.g., flow cytometry, ELISA/MSD, cytokine panels, cellular assays); familiarity with advanced platforms (e.g., single-cell, proteomics) is advantageous.
β’ Proven experience working within cross-functional teams (e.g., Translational Medicine, Clinical, Nonclinical).
β’ Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, demonstrated by a history of scientific publications and presentations.
