This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +1 more state.
• Act as Veeam's primary technical representative for the federal sector at industry events, agency briefings, partner forums, analyst engagements, and policy discussions.
• Establish and maintain trusted relationships with agency CIOs, CISOs, CTOs, acquisition leads, policy makers, and mission stakeholders.
• Convert FedRAMP program statuses and controls into comprehensible narratives for customers and partners.
• Collect federal requirements to guide authorization processes and product roadmap priorities.
• Collaborate on creating federal narratives, reference architectures, and enablement materials with systems integrators, resellers, hyperscalers, and strategic partners.
• Advocate for Securiti AI and the DataAI Command Platform aimed at federal DSPM, data curation, and responsible AI implementation.
• Design and present briefings, whitepapers, webinars, conference sessions, and narratives suitable for executives.
• Link federal market insights with Product Management, Product Strategy, and Engineering teams.
• Assist in high-priority federal opportunities and executive-level briefings.
• Collaborate with the VP of Federal Sales to harmonize market-building efforts with business objectives, pipeline strategy, and authorization timelines.
• Over 10 years of experience in pre-sales systems engineering, solutions architecture, or technical evangelism, with considerable exposure to U.S. Federal, DoD, or Public Sector environments.
• Proven experience in engaging with agency C-level technology leaders, policy makers, and acquisition stakeholders as a technical expert.
• In-depth knowledge of FedRAMP, FISMA, NIST 800-53, and Zero Trust frameworks.
• Strong technical expertise in data resilience, data protection, backup/recovery architectures, virtualization, cloud technologies, and security.
• Proficient in presenting at industry conferences, agency briefings, and partner/analyst events.
• Capable of producing written and video content with a coherent perspective.
• Basic understanding of AI, data governance, and data security posture management (DSPM).
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• U.S. citizenship is mandatory.
• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance.
• Active TS or TS/SCI clearance is highly preferred.
• Self-motivated and adept at establishing a market presence without a fixed pipeline of active deals.
• Preferred location is the Washington, D.C. metro area; other major federal markets may also be considered.
• Willingness to travel up to 60–75% of the time.
