This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take charge of the technical and strategic aspects of Seismic's most intricate, high-value enterprise opportunities, collaborating closely with Account Executives to formulate deal strategies instead of merely supporting them.

• Directly engage with C-suite and senior business stakeholders (CMO, CSO, CRO, CIO), leading executive discussions that align Seismic's capabilities with their most urgent business objectives.

• Develop and present highly customized product demonstrations and proof-of-concepts that extend beyond mere feature overviews, constructing solution narratives tailored to a prospect's industry, business model, and decision-making committee.

• Lead intricate, multi-phase proof-of-concept projects, which involve defining success criteria with prospects, coordinating internal resources, managing timelines, and steering the evaluation toward a decisive technical victory.

• Utilize AI tools and automation to expedite demo environment setup, discovery preparation, and competitive positioning, modeling efficient and scalable presales workflows for the wider team.

• Serve as the technical and strategic leader in multi-stakeholder evaluations, confidently coordinating RFP responses, security assessments, and custom solution designs.

• Assume a Directly Responsible Individual (DRI) role in cross-functional initiatives, whether that involves launching a new vertical strategy, developing a competitive response framework, or creating a repeatable POC process for the team.

• Participate in and lead specialized teams focused on strategic deals, new product launches, or emerging market opportunities, providing structure and senior judgment to high-priority efforts.

• Mentor and coach Sales Engineers (SEs) at all levels on discovery techniques, demo narratives, executive engagement, and technical expertise.

• Actively contribute to the growth of your peers and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

• Represent the field as a senior voice to Product Management, translating trends from enterprise discussions into prioritized product insights that reflect genuine market demand.

• Maintain an awareness of the competitive landscape and the AI and go-to-market technology ecosystem to ensure Seismic's positioning remains clear and distinct.


⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 8 years of customer-facing experience in a presales or solutions consulting capacity within an enterprise SaaS environment.

• Proven capability to engage at the executive level, with instances of navigating complex buying committees and influencing senior decision-makers.

• Demonstrated experience managing complex proof-of-concept engagements from start to finish, including defining evaluation criteria, coordinating stakeholders, and finalizing the technical evaluation.

• Proficiency with AI tools as part of your daily workflow, whether for demo preparation, discovery synthesis, competitive analysis, or constructing custom environments.

• Willingness to experiment with and advocate for innovative approaches.

• Strong understanding of enterprise sales methodologies (MEDDPICC, Challenger, Solution Selling, or similar) and how presales integrates into the overall deal strategy.

• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to deliver boardroom-quality presentations and compelling narratives.

• A history of contributing beyond personal deals: mentoring colleagues, spearheading team initiatives, or taking ownership of programs that enhance the overall effectiveness of the SE function.

• Experience in sales or marketing technology is a significant advantage, as is familiarity with Seismic's key verticals (financial services, healthcare, high-tech, insurance).

• A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

• Comfortable with a hybrid work model and willing to travel for strategic accounts and team engagements.
