This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Taiwan.
• Take ownership of the identity verification platform's strategy, roadmap, and implementation — extending beyond just vendor management.
• Develop multi-vendor routing optimization across KYC providers and similar entities — enhancing pass rates, reducing fraud, and controlling cost-per-verification as a P&L metric.
• Propel the platform towards self-service configurability, enabling product teams within the Exchange to adjust IDV requirements, decision rules, and vendor preferences without needing Engineering support for every modification.
• Deliver modular IDV components — such as document collection, liveness, face match, and motion — that can function independently across various product scenarios.
• Lead efforts to counter synthetic fraud through liveness challenges, e-ID integrations, and machine learning-driven fraud scoring, collaborating with Risk and IDV vendors.
• Carefully monitor and manage false positive rates — fraud protection should not compromise genuine users.
• Assess and plan for Non-Doc (document-free) verification and Reusable Identity solutions as key strategies for minimizing drop-off while ensuring compliance.
• Utilize the external competitive benchmark of approximately 2-minute average KYC completion at top-tier multi-asset brokers to guide roadmap prioritization.
• Collaborate with Compliance to address regional KYC variations within the product, ensuring clear and non-confusing user experiences for those in specific jurisdictions.
• Manage the product experience for current users required to re-verify their identity due to document expiration, regulatory triggers, changes in risk profile, or routine compliance reviews.
• Design the Re-KYC journey to minimize disruption, ensuring clear pre-communication and completion with minimal drop-off — focusing particularly on users who are mid-activity or have open positions during a re-verification event.
• Establish a communication schedule — including advance notices, reminders, and grace period management — that is as thoughtfully designed as the verification user experience itself.
• Guarantee that the Re-KYC process utilizes the same IDV infrastructure as the new-user KYC, ensuring consistency while accommodating the unique context of an existing, active user.
• Monitor Re-KYC completion rates within grace periods, rates of account restrictions triggered by Re-KYC, and the time taken from the first prompt to approval as specific success metrics.
• Oversee the deposit and withdrawal experience across all markets, acting as the gatekeeper for payment method availability — determining which methods are offered in each country, eligibility criteria, applicable limits, and the timing for the activation, modification, or removal of a method.
• Manage the country-specific payment method matrix — maintaining an up-to-date overview of available methods, pending options, and the roadmap for each market.
• Define and enforce eligibility criteria that connect a user's KYC level with their access to specific deposit and withdrawal methods.
• Set deposit and withdrawal limits for each method, tier, and market — and manage the product experience when a user reaches a limit, including clear messaging, escalation processes, and upgrade prompts.
• Oversee the comprehensive onboarding of new payment methods: evaluating vendors or banking partners, scoping integrations, obtaining compliance approvals, designing user experiences, and launching the methods.
• Ensure transparency regarding FX spreads and processing fees — users who understand their costs tend to convert at higher rates and experience lower churn.
• Manage the on-chain deposit and withdrawal experience alongside fiat: network selection user experience, confirmation time expectations, address management, and withdrawal SLA transparency.
• Aim for a deposit success rate exceeding 92% for both fiat and card on-ramping.
• Guide the transition from first deposit to first trade and beyond — the journey does not conclude at a funded account.
• Oversee the activation sequence: KYC approved → first deposit → first trade → first perpetual or index position; each step has its own conversion rate and associated friction to eliminate.
• Collaborate with the Exchange trading product team to identify and eliminate barriers between a funded account and a completed trade — focusing on product discovery, market navigation, order entry UX, and fee transparency.
• Manage the onboarding reward progression from KYC completion forward — KYC approval incentives, first deposit bonuses, and first trade cashback — in collaboration with Campaigns; sign-up rewards fall under the Discovery, Growth & Onboarding PM.
• Own the product roadmap for introducing new markets and local payment methods — in cooperation with Business Development, Legal, and Engineering.
• Localization involves understanding why a user in the Philippines favors GCash over a bank transfer and ensuring the product reflects this preference — it is more than just a translation effort.
• Track local payment rail coverage and local deposit success rates as dedicated regional metrics.
• Utilize agentic AI tools — such as Cursor, Claude Code, Gemini, LibreChat, Glean, or equivalents — with human-in-the-loop practices to expedite delivery.
• Advocate for AI-native product development practices within your team.
• 6–8+ years of experience in Product Management.
• Demonstrated experience in a high-growth technology setting — preferably a crypto exchange, fintech, neo-bank, or multi-asset broker — where you have personally tackled the challenges outlined in this role: identity verification, fiat payment systems, deposit conversion, or compliance-focused product ownership.
• Specific expertise in IDV platforms, payment rail integration, or KYC/AML product design is highly advantageous.
• Familiarity with payment gateway logic, ledger systems, and API integration.
• Ability to discuss multi-vendor IDV routing logic, decision trees, liveness detection architecture, and composable IDV component design with Engineering teams.
• Experience in building or overseeing APIs, SDKs, and developer tools as product deliverables — not merely using them.
• Profound understanding of global KYC and AML standards (FATF, regional equivalents), Strong Customer Authentication (SCA), GDPR, and local payment regulations.
• Capability to translate regulatory limitations into product requirements — and challenge situations where compliance is used to justify poor user experience.
• Every roadmap decision hinges on balancing conversion, risk, and cost — must be adept at quantifying all three dimensions and making informed trade-offs based on data.
• Proficiency in SQL; familiarity with Mixpanel, Amplitude, or similar tools for funnel analysis.
• Proven use of AI tools (Cursor, Claude Code, Gemini, LibreChat, or equivalents) with human-in-the-loop practices — this is essential, not optional.
• Proactively drives stakeholders to unblock, prioritize, and deliver without waiting for directives in a decentralized, 24/7 environment.
• Established ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence Legal, Risk, and Compliance areas without formal authority.
• A history of transforming a major onboarding or payments flow from a recognized friction point to successfully shipped and improved outcomes.
• Competitive salary.
• Medical insurance package with extended coverage for dependents.
• Generous annual leave entitlement, including birthday and work anniversary days.
• Flexible work arrangements, including flexible hours and hybrid or remote setups.
• Opportunities for career advancement through our internal mobility program, offering diverse options for employees.
• Work perks including a crypto.com visa card provided upon joining.
