This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.
• Develop and take ownership of the long-term product strategy for GIAC certifications and assessments, ensuring alignment with broader organizational objectives.
• Recognize market opportunities, competitive landscapes, and learner requirements to guide product direction.
• Oversee the complete product lifecycle from discovery and definition to launch and iteration for all certification and assessment offerings.
• Convert insights from learners, employers, and the industry into precise product specifications and success criteria.
• Establish and uphold the GIAC product roadmap, ensuring it mirrors business priorities, learner needs, and industry trends while effectively communicating progress and trade-offs to senior stakeholders.
• Manage the product backlog, collaborating closely with engineering teams to refine, prioritize, and sequence work that maximizes impact.
• Collaborate with psychometricians, exam developers, and technology teams for range and lab platforms to guarantee that certification and assessment products adhere to strict standards of validity, reliability, and fairness.
• Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess product health and foster continuous enhancement.
• Act as the principal product management authority on the certification and assessment landscape, encompassing industry trends, credentialing standards, and competitor products.
• Cultivate strong relationships with key internal stakeholders across GIAC business leadership, curriculum, sales, marketing, and product development.
• Engage directly with customers, employers, and the wider cybersecurity community to deepen insights into market needs.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in the industry.
• Over 10 years of professional product management experience with a focus on developing and managing assessment-oriented products.
• Proven track record in defining product roadmaps, prioritizing competing needs, and achieving measurable results.
• Demonstrated success in managing complex product portfolios, preferably in education, credentialing, assessment, or a related sector.
• Strong strategic thinking capabilities, adept at establishing direction in uncertain environments and uniting teams around a clear vision.
• Proven skill in leading through influence, achieving alignment and results without direct management authority.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills across functions, including experience in presenting to senior leadership.
• Deep empathy for learners and a commitment to fostering professional growth.
• Familiarity with the cybersecurity sector or technical training landscape is a significant advantage.
• Comfortable working in a virtual setting with occasional travel.
• Proficient in English, especially in written communication.
• Unrestricted authorization to work in the USA; visa sponsorship is not available.
