Principal Product Manager – Agentic Platform

Posted Jul 18

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take charge of the product strategy and roadmap for the platform.

• Establish the definition of compliance-grade for this platform.

• Manage the agentic access surface.

• Approach the data foundation as a product.

• Enable external data as a capability of the platform.

• Assess success based on practitioner outcomes.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in product management, with considerable time spent on technical platforms, data, or ML products. You have been responsible for a platform or major product area at a Principal-level scope and have driven initiatives across teams without holding positional authority.

• Capable of defining product direction for a modern data platform. You possess a solid understanding of Lakehouse and medallion patterns, data contracts, quality, and lineage, enabling you to make informed decisions and maintain credibility with platform engineers, all without the necessity of building it yourself.

• Proven experience managing AI or ML platform projects from vague problem statements to production-ready solutions.

• In-depth knowledge of agentic AI systems and their required data access methods: retrieval, tool calling, MCP or equivalent. You can analyze how agents access data and the constraints that should be applied.

• Experience with AI systems where accuracy and defensibility are critical. You have contributed to evaluation, guardrails, or human-in-the-loop design, and understand the necessity for a regulated workflow beyond just having a competent model.

• Define what success entails for a platform and evaluate it based on practitioner outcomes.

• Communicate effectively across engineering, product, and practice teams. You uphold high standards without relying heavily on process, and you excel in uncertain environments.

• Actively utilize AI tools in your daily work and share insights with colleagues.

• Experience in tax, financial reporting, regulatory compliance, or other regulated, data-intensive professional services sectors.

• Developed or overseen data products, whether internal or external, including external data sourcing and licensing, and understand the trade-offs among coverage, cost, and reliability.

• Practical experience with Databricks, Delta Lake, or a similar lakehouse platform in a production setting.

• Background in tech-enabled services or a transition from SaaS to services, similar to the changes being undertaken by Exactera.

• Experience in building a platform or significant product area from the ground up.

🏝️ Benefits

• A collaborative team culture that fosters career development opportunities.

• Numerous chances for recognition, skill-building, and career growth.

• Generous vacation policy, inclusive of paid parental leave.

• Comprehensive health insurance plans with FSA and HSA options.

• 401(k) retirement savings plan.

• Coverage for life and disability insurance.

• Additional benefits like a dependent care savings plan, pet insurance, will preparation services, and an employee assistance program.
