Principal Product Designer, Supply

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.

📋 Description

• Define and lead the design strategy for the Supply ecosystem, creating a cohesive, user-focused vision that spans various product areas and aligns with ezCater's broader product and business objectives.

• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Data leadership to develop roadmaps, prioritizing based on a comprehensive understanding of catering partner needs, operational realities, and business performance metrics.

• Spearhead cross-domain design initiatives with a company-wide impact, clarifying ambiguous, multi-team projects and securing alignment from senior stakeholders.

• Establish quality standards across UX, visual design, content, and interaction, providing direction for other designers and advocating for the evolution of our design principles and systems as the Supply space expands.

• Set the design direction for your cross-functional team, conducting critiques and design reviews, making well-reasoned decisions, and fostering clarity in uncertain situations.

• Identify and articulate high-impact problem areas before they appear on the roadmap, influencing what teams focus on, not just the aesthetics.

• Foster a culture of data-driven design decisions: a proven history of utilizing qualitative and quantitative data to create impact and ensuring accountability to measurable outcomes.

• Mentor and guide designers within the Supply organization, enhancing craft and strategic thinking across the team.

• Elevate the standard for design communication and documentation: develop narratives that resonate with senior leadership and establish benchmarks for how the team presents its work.

• Advocate for the responsible and high-quality integration of AI in design workflows, assisting in the adoption of AI capabilities within the Supply design team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience as a product designer, UX designer, or a related role, with a solid foundation in visual and interaction design.

• Proven ability to operate at a strategic level: collaboratively defining product direction with PM/Eng/Data partners, shaping roadmaps, and influencing senior stakeholders.

• Experience in leading design across multiple product areas simultaneously, with accountability for quality and consistency in a complex ecosystem.

• Demonstrated capability to frame high-impact problems, not just resolve them, and guide teams from merely shipping tickets to tackling well-defined, outcome-oriented challenges.

• Strong mastery of the entire design process, with the adaptability to shift across varying levels of fidelity and abstraction as required by the work.

• Exceptional communication and storytelling abilities: adept at crafting engaging narratives for both senior leaders and day-to-day cross-functional partners.

• Experience mentoring senior and staff-level individual contributors and enhancing the skills of those around you.

• Proficient in Figma and prototyping tools, including AI-first tools. Experience in designing with and contributing to comprehensive design systems.

• A detailed portfolio that highlights strategic impact, cross-functional leadership, measurable outcomes, and a high standard of craft.
