Principal Product Designer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Engage directly within a designated business vertical, utilizing systems thinking, craftsmanship, and AI-first methodologies in the product development process.

• Enhance the Product Design vision at Neon through collaborative technical leadership and teamwork across Design, Product, Research, and Engineering.

• Improve the quality of interaction, visual coherence, motion, and hierarchy through systems thinking and the ongoing refinement of shared design patterns.

• Contribute to the advancement of AI Design System foundations and methodologies to scale quality while promoting autonomy.

• Develop AI-first workflows and prototype-centric practices, incorporating AI into the discovery, design, documentation, and creation of digital products.

• Investigate new interaction models, generative user interfaces, and adaptive design elements.

• Engage in discussions surrounding product and experience from the initial phases.

• Assist in recruitment processes, live case evaluations, portfolio assessments, and technical calibration within the Design team.

• Guide and mentor fellow designers by providing technical insights.

• Cultivate a collaborative and inclusive design culture.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in Product Design for scalable digital products, with a strong emphasis on systems thinking and establishing craft standards.

• Demonstrated ability to shape design direction across various teams.

• Experience in supporting or developing design systems and scalable operational methodologies.

• Practical knowledge of AI-assisted workflows applied to product discovery, prototyping, and documentation processes.

• Proven track record in mentoring designers and engaging in technical calibration activities, including recruitment, portfolio reviews, and live case assessments.

• Strong skills in interaction design, visual hierarchy, and motion, with a history of enhancing product quality independently of centralized approval.

• Flexibility to navigate various contexts and challenges in a fast-paced environment.

• Results-driven mindset, with the ability to prioritize tasks that yield the greatest impact.

• Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a remote setting.

• Preferred qualifications include experience with generative interfaces, conversational AI in products, or adaptive interaction models; experience in rapidly growing environments; and active involvement in design culture initiatives.
