This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Establish and propel the design vision for Dropbox’s extensive multi-product ecosystem that aids customers in locating, comprehending, activating, and utilizing the content already residing in Dropbox.
• Create AI-enhanced experiences that empower customers to be more effective while preserving their decision-making capabilities. Ensure that AI feels like a trusted partner: minimizing friction, highlighting what’s important, speeding up decisions, and keeping customers in control.
• Lead uncertain, high-impact product domains from strategic conceptualization to execution, transforming emerging AI capabilities into straightforward, elegant, high-trust experiences that feel robust without becoming cumbersome, overwhelming, or difficult to navigate.
• Establish a remarkably high standard across interaction design, information architecture, systems thinking, prototyping, content, visual quality, and implementation. Ensure the product feels precise, cohesive, and distinctly Dropbox.
• Collaborate extensively with Product, Engineering, Research, Marketing, and Design leadership to influence strategy, prioritize the most impactful opportunities, unify teams, and drive results with urgency and excellence.
• Elevate the design organization by mentoring designers, enhancing critique processes, exemplifying outstanding AI product design, and assisting the team in becoming more proficient in exploring, prototyping, evaluating, and delivering work.
• Over 12 years of product design experience, showcasing a robust history of leading complex, ambiguous, and high-impact product initiatives from concept through large-scale launch.
• A portfolio that illustrates Principal-level craftsmanship, product judgment, systems thinking, customer empathy, and the capability to deliver experiences that customers comprehend, trust, and appreciate.
• Exceptional executional versatility, with the capacity to transition seamlessly from long-term strategy and narrative to detailed flows, interaction models, prototypes, edge cases, content, and implementation quality.
• Proven aptitude for influencing senior cross-functional partners, establishing alignment through clear storytelling, and guiding product direction in fast-paced, ambiguous settings.
• Strong ability to convert emerging capabilities into simple, valuable, intuitive product experiences that minimize friction, maintain customer agency, and facilitate meaningful work.
• A collaborative, low-ego leadership approach, with a history of mentoring designers, elevating standards, enhancing critique, and empowering teams to produce superior work collectively.
• Experience in designing comprehensive experiences across multiple products, surfaces, or platforms, with a strong ability to achieve coherence across intricate user journeys.
• A portfolio that reflects a distinct design sensibility, where the candidate’s taste, principles, and product philosophy are evident in the work itself.
• A proven ability to distill complex systems, workflows, or mental models into experiences that feel premium, intuitive, and user-friendly.
