Principal Product Designer, AI Product Team

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Establish the interaction language for agentic experiences at Toast.

• Provide hands-on direction using Figma, prototypes, critiques, and influence.

• Collaborate closely with product, engineering, data science, and conversational design teams.

• Lead product, engineering, and design teams to enhance the established foundation.

⛳️ Requirements

• Systems ownership: Define and advocate for the essential interaction patterns, behaviors, and component language for agentic experiences throughout Toast IQ.

• Organizational influence: Cultivate support among product, engineering, and GTM leadership for a UX perspective.

• Leadership: Demonstrated success in leading significant design initiatives at a principal level.

• Execution: Oversee the complete design process for core UX/UI within Toast's AI ecosystem across both web and native mobile platforms.

• AI-native design experience: Successfully launched a 0-to-1 AI or agentic product experience.

• Pro-research: Established ability and eagerness to conduct and coordinate data analysis, user research, and usability testing.

• Tools: Skilled in utilizing emerging AI tools and design applications such as Figma and Miro.

• Partner collaboration: Excellent communication skills with the capability to work effectively across various teams.

• Mentorship: Guide designers at all levels and serve as a design-quality standard-bearer throughout the organization.
