
Principal PreSales Systems Engineer – HPE Networking

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Oversee technical and functional pre-sales support for potential clients and Global Major customers.
• Clearly present and explain the advantages of HPE Networking solutions compared to competitors.
• Collaborate with Territory Managers to assess opportunities and transform leads into successful projects.
• Create customized networking solutions tailored to the needs of clients and prospects.
• Handle account and partner responsibilities for designated Global Major accounts.
• Offer combinations of hardware, software, and services to meet complex customer requirements.
• Assist with bids, proposals, and solution presentations.
• Conduct technical presentations, product demonstrations, and events to generate demand.
• Manage channel partners and nurture account relationships.
• Track sales pipelines and forecasts in alignment with regional objectives.
• Provide consultative support to both internal and external stakeholders.
• Draft specifications for product, design, and implementation.
• Develop proofs of concept utilizing rapid prototyping or product demonstrations.
• Consult with potential users to evaluate and confirm product capabilities.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in infrastructure engineering with a proven track record in pre-sales support is preferred.
• Strong oral and written communication, organizational, presentation, prioritization, and interpersonal skills.
• Customer-oriented approach to designing and managing solutions for intricate technical challenges.
• Ability to engage with senior internal and external organizations effectively.
• In-depth knowledge of Aruba Networking or Juniper Mist Networking.
• Familiarity with routing and switching technologies.
• Experience in networking security.
• Knowledge of NAC technologies such as ClearPass, ISE, Cloud NAC, or Juniper Access Assurance.
• Experience in wireless design, deployment, and troubleshooting.
• Understanding of pre- and post-wireless site survey tools, including Ekahau or Hamina.
• Preferred knowledge of CWNA, CWDP, or CWSP.
• Willingness to work in the Southern California territory.
