This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Oversee intricate Bills of Materials (BOMs), preferably in hardware, rack integration, or systems-level contexts (L11/L12).

• Take ownership of and implement Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and Engineering Change Requests (ECRs).

• Work closely with Solutions Architects and Factory Product Engineers to guarantee that precise BOMs are prepared for Material Requirements Planning (MRP).

• Serve as the principal source and gatekeeper for released product information, ensuring that unauthorized changes or data discrepancies are avoided.

• Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and integration engineers to ensure consistency among designs, BOMs, and documentation releases.

• Facilitate quick implementation of engineering modifications while maintaining configuration integrity and audit readiness.

• Establish and uphold naming conventions, numbering systems, and classification guidelines.

• Assist with New Product Introduction (NPI) initiatives and scaling operations across multiple simultaneous builds.

• Initiate change notifications to distribute new BOMs and BOM revisions to the relevant factory.

• Spearhead the design and implementation of a centralized, cross-functional database aimed at standardizing, managing, and tracking Jabil’s L11 hardware and supplier ecosystem within the Intelligent Infrastructure organization.


⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related discipline is mandatory.

• A minimum of 5+ years of experience with PLM systems, configuration management, release worklogs, and engineering change procedures in complex engineering settings.

• Extensive knowledge of PLM tools (e.g., Windchill, Agile, SAP).

• Exceptional communication and cross-functional collaboration skills are essential.

• Strong proficiency in Excel, automation, BOM, mechanical systems, lifecycle management, and program management.

• Keen attention to detail regarding data accuracy, version control, and traceability.

• Familiarity with stage-gate processes in project lifecycle management (PLCM).

• Understanding of configuration challenges related to product variations, options, and regional differences.
