This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.
• Act as a technical consultant for multi-disciplinary substation projects, delivering expert-level design oversight, analysis, and quality assurance/control.
• Provide mentorship to staff, guide intricate project execution, and maintain NEI’s engineering standards.
• Serve as a reliable advisor to both clients and internal teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in civil, electrical, or mechanical engineering, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Over 7 years of hands-on substation engineering experience.
• Possession of a Professional Engineering License (PE) or the capability to acquire one within one year.
• Familiarity with the National Electric Code (NEC), National Electric Safety Code (NESC), IEEE codes and standards, along with applicable county, city, and state regulations.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and people skills.
• Candidates must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
• Recognized as a top workplace by the Denver Post for seven consecutive years (2020 - 2026).
