Principal Network Management Consultant – Hospital Contracting

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• This role involves the recruitment and contracting of providers within facilities such as large independent hospital systems, integrated and non-integrated systems, and value-based contracts.

• Responsible for the development and negotiation of contracts with hospitals.

• Foster and maintain relationships with healthcare facilities.

• Ensure strategic coverage is provided for the designated territory.

• Educate providers and offer continuous support services.

• Act as a subject matter expert to enhance operational efficiency and outcomes.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s Degree with 4 years of experience in provider contracting, or a Master’s Degree with 3 years of contracting experience, or 8 years of business experience that includes 4 years in provider contracting.

• Experience in contracting should include negotiating reimbursements, financial arrangements, and rates.

• Comprehensive understanding of provider and facility contracting, as well as products and claims/processing systems.

• Strong negotiation abilities.

• Skills in relationship building.

• Awareness of the marketplace.

• Ability to meet deadlines and perform effectively under pressure.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interaction with all levels of corporate staff and providers.

• Proficient in PC use, including Microsoft Office applications.

• Strong analytical skills and business acumen to evaluate financial data and assess the financial implications of negotiations.

• Willingness and ability to travel within the assigned areas of responsibility, which may include overnight stays.
