Principal Mission Assurance Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Assist the HON program team with activities related to Mission Assurance and Quality Assurance to ensure successful program execution.

• Provide support for internal and external customer meetings.

• Identify and implement strategies for mission assurance and quality to enhance program performance and foster customer relationships.

• Assist in the risk management process, including coaching on the implementation of mitigation burn-down plans.

• Collaborate with Honeywell’s suppliers to ensure that customer requirements are understood and fulfilled at the most fundamental levels.

• Advocate for Mission Assurance and Quality Assurance rigor across HON functional groups (e.g., Quality, Engineering, Program Management) as needed.

• Aid in the development and implementation of robust Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) processes and product/process improvements.

• Support discussions related to PRB, MRB, and CCB, offering relevant recommendations.

• Assist in preparing for and participating in Customer Hardware Acceptance Reviews (HARS).


⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in a technical or business discipline; preference for Quality & Management or Technical Project Management.

• At least 25 years of experience in the USA Aerospace industry, with a minimum of 6 years focused on Quality and Mission Assurance within the USA Aerospace sector.

• Proven ability to lead change management initiatives using process improvement tools, including Six Sigma and Failure Modes Effects Analysis (FMEA).

• Demonstrated technical expertise in mechanical components and systems, coupled with strong interpersonal skills.

• Experience in driving success across the entire supply chain, working with multiple tiers of suppliers on complex, detailed traceability requirements-laden programs.

• Ability to interpret purchase orders, aerospace engineering drawings, and industrial specifications, understanding the relationships between each where applicable.

• Familiarity with Integrated Product Delivery and Support (IPDS) processes and risk management.

• Proven capability to build and maintain relationships with customers.

• Strong strategic thinking abilities.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

• Demonstrated experience in navigating within complex, matrix organizations.

• Must be a US citizen.
