This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Create a comprehensive mission concept tailored to customer requirements.
• Conduct mission-level analyses and manage all primary mission budgets.
• Define requirements and design for the mission along with various mission payloads.
• Utilize software tools and/or write code to investigate engineering trade studies and address system design inquiries.
• Grasp key metrics and evaluate spacecraft and payload design trade-offs.
• Assess spacecraft performance and configuration of constellations.
• Collaborate with engineers from different disciplines and scientists to ensure the product aligns with objectives.
• A Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant engineering discipline, accompanied by 12 years of experience in space missions.
• Strong communication, presentation, and coordination abilities.
• Commitment to deriving conclusions based on critical factors and available data.
• Experience in spacecraft design.
• Background in space mission design.
• Proficiency in software tools such as Python, Julia, Matlab, C, or C++.
• Willingness to travel to the Mountain View facility for in-person meetings, construction, and testing.
• Enthusiasm for working in a dynamic environment with new challenges each week.
