• **About the Role:**

• As a Principal Full Stack Engineer, you will be one of Sleek’s top individual contributors, guiding the architectural vision and overseeing the comprehensive delivery of intricate web applications and essential platform services. You will work with considerable autonomy, addressing ambiguous engineering challenges while elevating the technical standards of the broader engineering organization.

• **Mission:**

• In this position, you will balance extensive technical execution across the full stack—from user-friendly interfaces to scalable distributed backend systems—while promoting developer productivity and integrating agentic AI workflows into our offerings.

• **Key Outcomes:**

• 1. Full Stack Architecture & Product Delivery

• Design, develop, and uphold production-grade SaaS applications throughout the entire stack utilizing modern JavaScript/TypeScript, frontend frameworks (React/Vue), and backend environments (Node.js/NestJS).

• Create reliable APIs, database schemas (Postgres, MongoDB), and cloud-native services that can scale alongside business growth.

• Collaborate closely with Product, Design, and Engineering leaders to transform complex operational and financial issues into straightforward, robust software solutions.

• 2. Agentic AI Integration

• Design and implement agentic AI capabilities and intelligent workflows within production applications (e.g., document processing, automated classification, and decision-support systems).

• Establish reliability patterns for AI functionalities, including guardrails, evaluation frameworks, fallback strategies, and observability for model behavior.

• 3. Harness Engineering & Engineering Productivity

• Develop and maintain engineering harnesses, automated workflows, and internal developer tools to eliminate friction in the engineering lifecycle.

• Introduce modern AI-assisted development tools (such as Cursor, automated test/documentation generators, and debugging aids) to significantly enhance productivity across the engineering organization.

• 4. Platform Performance & Technical Leadership

• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in APIs, data pipelines, and backend microservices.

• Mentor senior and mid-level engineers, conduct technical architecture reviews, and elevate standards for code quality, testing, and system design throughout Sleek.

⛳️ Requirements

• **Must-Have Requirements:**

• - Depth— 8+ years of experience in shipping and operating production SaaS.

• - Architecture— expertise in scalable distributed systems, APIs, and service boundaries that you've navigated.

• - TypeScript / Node.js— extensive experience in this ecosystem; not just a recent transition from another language. Familiarity with both relational and document databases.

• - Full-stack ownership— you manage a feature from schema to API to UI and into production without passing off the parts you prefer not to handle. You have a strength in one area but are competent in all.

• - Developer platform— you have developed internal developer tooling, automation, and established processes that other engineers rely on daily, treating them as products with users instead of side projects.

• - Cloud and operations— you handle deployment, monitoring, incident response, and continuous improvement in production. Observability and security are part of your responsibilities, not someone else's.

• - Production AI — You have developed and launched AI-powered product features (agents, intelligent automation, document processing, workflow orchestration, or similar) and know how to assess, monitor, and enhance them in a production environment.

• - Force multiplier— you have uplifted those around you through mentoring and setting standards that endure beyond your tenure.

• - Autonomy — You excel in ambiguous situations, proactively identify worthwhile problems to solve, and achieve technical outcomes without relying on detailed task management.
