Principal Finance Business Partner – Networks

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the gross margin for all network supply.

• Detect and eliminate margin leakage throughout the supply chain.

• Set up and monitor key unit economics.

• Oversee financial management of eSIM inventory purchasing.

• Optimize inventory holding levels and procurement timelines.

• Act as the Finance lead during MNO and supplier contract discussions.

• Manage invoice validation and reconciliation for key providers.

• Implement and uphold internal controls over vendor payments.

• Direct financial planning and tracking for the Core Network initiative.

• Collaborate with the Networks team on the long-term infrastructure strategy.

• Manage the annual budgeting and ongoing forecasts for all Networks-related COGS.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in Strategic/Commercial Finance, FP&A, or Management Consulting, with direct responsibility for a COGS line, supply-side P&L, or significant cost function.

• Strong industry expertise in Telecommunications (eSIM, MNO, wholesale data) or in supply-intensive, data-heavy sectors, including knowledge of network cost concepts (e.g., Cost Per GB, roaming economics).

• Proven commercial insight with a history of leading vendor negotiations, structuring high-value contracts, and managing multi-supplier performance frameworks.

• Advanced analytical capabilities, including expert-level financial modeling and proficient SQL skills for cost analysis and data reconciliation.

• Expertise in data visualization with experience in creating executive-facing dashboards using Looker, Tableau, or similar BI tools.

• Outstanding leadership and communication skills, with a proven ability to navigate ambiguity independently, manage competing priorities, and influence senior operational leaders.

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a quantitative discipline; an MBA or CFA designation is highly preferred.
