This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +3 more states.
• Deliver daily field clinical study assistance, technical and educational support, as well as site management, coordination, and training for Mitral and Tricuspid Therapies clinical programs.
• Advocate for clinical programs by educating current and prospective investigators, introducing new technologies, and providing case support to ensure safe patient outcomes and meet company goals.
• Conduct on-site educational sessions and/or consulting services.
• Assist field personnel in delivering outcomes and services for Medtronic customers.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create and implement enrollment strategies.
• Engage in conventions, forums, and meetings to enhance product visibility.
• Offer customer case support and educational assistance in conjunction with Therapy Development Management.
• Recognize and foster growth opportunities alongside the Clinical Support Team.
• Act as a technical expert for a designated medical product or solution.
• Aid in clinical study processes and prepare for Intrepid TMVR/TTVR device cases.
• Provide technical assistance, troubleshoot devices and systems, and advise on device suitability and patient selection.
• Offer imaging support including echo, angiography, and CT.
• Relay clinical-site product feedback to engineering while supporting research and development efforts.
• Cultivate and maintain customer relationships and enrollment assistance with designated sites.
• Organize patient screening and enrollment communications along with necessary screening materials.
• Manage product shipping and returns between internal and external clients.
• Contribute to the development and delivery of physician training materials, simulations, benchtop models, didactic sessions, and case studies.
• Instruct and train physicians, hospital staff, and personnel on Medtronic products.
• Provide training and resources for procedure certification and activation.
• Mentor and train internal Medtronic employees.
• High school diploma/degree with a minimum of 8 years of clinical support experience, an Associate degree plus 6 years, a Bachelor’s degree plus 4 years, or an Advanced degree plus 2 years.
• Clinical support experience as a field clinical specialist, clinical engineer, or relevant hospital experience.
• Willingness to travel approximately 75%, including international travel.
• Preferred experience with echocardiographic imaging of the mitral and/or tricuspid valve.
• Preferred familiarity with CT segmentation and analysis software like 3Mensio.
• Preferred experience with trans-septal procedures such as TMVR, LAAC, or related therapies.
• Clinical research experience, particularly in coordinating multi-center trials, is preferred.
• Established technical expertise and knowledge in the structural heart field is preferred.
• Experience in presenting, writing, and teaching clinical and medical information is preferred.
• Preferred experience with group presentations and interventional/surgical cardiac procedures.
• Knowledge of Good Clinical Practice and/or regulatory compliance guidelines for clinical trials is preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications: Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and MS Project or similar scheduling software.
• Understanding of project management techniques and tools.
• Ability to operate in Cath Labs or Operating Rooms with exposure to radiation.
• Flexibility to work outside the standard Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. schedule.
• Capacity to lift 20 pounds.
• Ability to engage in extended computer-based work.
• Competence in using computers and CT reconstruction software.
• Willingness to travel extensively by car and airplane.
• Capability to sit and stand for 8 hours daily.
• Ability to wear a lead apron for an average of 2–3 hours.
• Comfort in clinical environments, with potential exposure to infectious diseases, radiation, and blood-borne pathogens.
• Requirement to wear necessary personal protective equipment.
• Valid driver’s license and active vehicle insurance, with driving record subject to review.
• Willingness to travel with overnight stays up to 75% of the time, including international travel.
• For degrees obtained outside the United States, a degree meeting the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is necessary.
• Unrestricted U.S. work authorization upon hire and throughout employment is mandatory for roles below Principal level; this Principal-level role may be eligible for sponsorship under Medtronic policy.
