This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +3 more states.
• Deliver daily field clinical study assistance, technical support, educational guidance, and site management for Mitral and Tricuspid Therapies clinical initiatives.
• Advocate for clinical programs through investigator education, new technology training, and case support to ensure safe patient outcomes and meet company goals.
• Provide on-site education and consulting services.
• Assist field personnel in achieving customer outcomes and service excellence.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create and implement enrollment strategies.
• Engage in conventions, forums, and meetings to enhance product visibility.
• Offer customer case assistance and educational support in conjunction with Therapy Development Management.
• Recognize and implement growth opportunities alongside the Clinical Support Team.
• Act as a technical expert for medical products and solutions.
• Aid in the preparation of Intrepid TMVR/TTVR devices and support clinical study protocols.
• Provide troubleshooting for devices and support patient selection and device suitability.
• Offer imaging expertise in echocardiography, angiography, and CT.
• Communicate clinical site product feedback to engineering and support research and development efforts.
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with customers and provide enrollment support at designated clinical sites.
• Organize patient screening and enrollment materials in coordination with review committees and sponsors.
• Manage product shipping and returns between internal teams and external customers.
• Assist in the creation and delivery of training for physicians and research coordinators.
• Conduct or coordinate hands-on, didactic, case-study, in-service, seminar, and symposium training sessions.
• Train customer sites and internal Medtronic staff on product-related technical issues.
• Provide training and resources for procedure certification and activation.
• High school diploma/degree with a minimum of 8 years of clinical support experience, or an Associate degree with at least 6 years, or a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 4 years, or an Advanced degree with at least 2 years.
• Relevant clinical support experience, such as a field clinical specialist, clinical engineer, or comparable hospital experience.
• Willingness to travel approximately 75%, including international trips and overnight stays.
• Capability to work in Cath Labs or Operating Rooms with radiation exposure.
• Flexibility to work beyond the standard Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. schedule.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds.
• Proficient in extended computer-based work.
• Adequate hearing, sight, and speaking ability.
• Proficient in using computers and CT reconstruction software.
• Willingness to travel extensively by car and plane.
• Ability to sit and stand for 8 hours daily.
• Ability to wear a lead apron for an average of 2–3 hours.
• Comfortable working in clinical settings with potential exposure to infectious diseases, radiation, and blood-borne pathogens.
• Required to wear personal protective equipment.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license and an active vehicle insurance policy.
• Driving record subject to review.
• For foreign baccalaureate degrees, the degree must meet the criteria of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A).
• Must have unrestricted U.S. work authorization for the duration of employment, in accordance with Medtronic’s Principal-level sponsorship policy.
• Preferred: Over 3 years of experience in the Structural Heart industry in a field capacity.
• Preferred: Experience in echocardiographic imaging related to mitral or tricuspid valves.
• Preferred: Familiarity with CT segmentation and analysis software such as 3Mensio.
• Preferred: Experience in trans-septal procedures, including TMVR or LAAC.
• Preferred: Clinical research experience coordinating multi-center trials or significant expertise in structural heart technology.
• Preferred: Experience in presenting, writing, and teaching clinical and medical information.
• Preferred: Experience in group presentations and hands-on interventional/surgical cardiac procedures.
• Preferred: Knowledge of Good Clinical Practice and/or clinical trial regulatory compliance.
• Proficient in MS Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and MS Project or similar scheduling software.
