Principal Field Applications Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Sweden.

📋 Description

• Establishing significant technical relationships with major accounts, showcasing excellent technical credibility to boost customer confidence in Emerson T&M.

• Comprehending and aiding in the formulation of customer technical requirements.

• Offering advice on software and hardware architectures while assisting in understanding the subsequent steps for ensuring success.

• Collaborating with Emerson T&M Account Manager(s) as part of an account team to spearhead the development and implementation of the account technical strategy, providing insights into the overall account strategy and pipeline.

• Coordinating with and updating internal technical stakeholders to execute account technical initiatives and providing feedback to enhance account success.

• Utilizing industry, application area, and account knowledge to identify and influence future customer technical needs and challenges, thus generating additional technical demand for Emerson T&M products, services, and support.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics).

• 5 years of relevant industry experience.

• 3 years of programming experience.

• Must be willing and able to travel.

• Preferred degree concentration in electrical or computer engineering.

• Experience with NI LabVIEW, NI TestStand, and the NI PXI platform, including developer certifications (Preferred).

• Proficiency in English and effective oral and written communication skills (Preferred).

• Advanced skills in at least one of the following programming languages: LabVIEW, .NET, Python, C++, C# (Preferred).

• Advanced skills in FPGA development using VHDL or LabVIEW FPGA (Preferred).

• 2 years of experience in a customer-facing role (Preferred).

• Experience in contributing to organizational, account, or engagement strategies (Preferred).

• Ability to integrate business, operational, and interpersonal considerations into technical engagements (Preferred).
