This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +2 more states.
• Conduct research to understand user interactions on the platform through discovery interviews, journey mapping, and behavioral insights.
• Identify areas of friction, including seams, bottlenecks, and handoffs that hinder user experience.
• Establish the direction for user experience and prioritize opportunities for high-value interactions.
• Assess, modify, simplify, or enhance existing workflows and interaction models.
• Utilize usability testing and experimentation to make informed, evidence-based decisions.
• Collaborate with product managers and developers to create functional, testable prototypes that leverage AI assistance.
• Engage directly with AI tools, prototyping applications, real content, and actual data.
• Present findings as clear before-and-after comparisons supported by user evidence.
• Convert research and prototypes into interaction patterns, guiding the overall platform experience and outlining a viable path forward.
• Over 5 years of experience in driving product design within complex, technical environments.
• Proven history of using prototyping and testing to uncover, validate, and refine solutions.
• Capability to operate independently in uncertain situations and establish direction without a predefined roadmap.
• Strong design judgment across various workflows.
• Expertise in interaction design, information architecture, and comprehensive flow management.
• Experience in designing self-service applications and interactions involving both human and AI components.
• Comfortable working with AI-driven design and prototyping tools.
• Ability to collaborate across product, engineering, and experience domains.
• Background in workflow-oriented or systems design.
• Skill in transforming problems and insights into functioning prototypes or demonstrations.
• Ability to synthesize user needs, business context, and technical limitations.
• Proficient at influencing stakeholders and fostering cross-team alignment without formal authority.
• High learning agility and comfort in fast-paced, ambiguous problem environments.
• Preferred: experience in creating 0→1 experiences, particularly in workflow-intensive enterprise products or greenfield SaaS.
• Preferred: experience in designing AI-integrated products, including human-plus-AI interaction models.
• Preferred: knowledge of design systems, interaction patterns, and guidelines.
