Principal Enterprise Architect – Public Sector

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.

📋 Description

• Lead and establish the overarching architecture, data, and cloud strategy for our largest client accounts, utilizing expertise in enterprise modernization and capability mapping.

• Engage confidently with customer C-level executives, aligning their strategic goals with the technical strategy of Celonis.

• Foster innovation by identifying and architecting solutions that utilize emerging technologies, including Agentic AI.

• Act as a liaison between Celonis’ product and engineering teams and the client’s teams to deliver optimal technical services.

• Evaluate the IT landscape maturity of the customer base in the region.

• Engage with customer Architecture and security teams during both pre-Sales and post-Sales phases.

• Mentor and guide Celonis consulting teams and ecosystem partners on technical implementation matters such as architecture, integration, performance, and scalability.

• Create reusable assets for consulting teams on various projects.

• Develop customer-facing position papers, assets, and thought leadership presentations focused on architecture and innovation with Celonis.

• Produce technical designs and presentations for both internal and client stakeholders.

⛳️ Requirements

• 10 to 15 years of relevant experience (e.g., Software vendor Architect, CTO at a leading consulting firm, or Enterprise Architect at a customer).

• Proven capacity to think strategically, linking technical solutions to business value and customer objectives.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a demonstrated history of presenting complex technical concepts and strategic visions to C-level executives.

• Experience in Capability Mapping, Enterprise Modernization, and a solid understanding of Agentic AI.

• Strong foundation in Data Architecture, integration patterns, and a background in data-related programming languages (SQL, Python, etc.).

• Robust technical background with an emphasis on system integrations, data operations, and automation capabilities.

• Ability to effortlessly transition from explaining an architecture diagram to an environment where you have developed or assembled a demo of that architecture.

• Profound understanding of cloud-native architectures, SaaS solutions (Salesforce, SAP, Dynamics CRM, ServiceNow), fundamentals of cybersecurity posture, API ecosystems, and legacy on-premise enterprise architectures.

• MSc degree in Computer Science or an equivalent in a related Information Technology field.

• Fluency in English is required; proficiency in an additional language such as Spanish, French, or Italian is a significant advantage.
