This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Define and advance the target-state enterprise systems and data architecture across key business areas, including General & Administrative, product development, engineering, operations, and supply chain-related capabilities.
• Lead the exploration and rationalization of function-level and shadow IT stacks, documenting current-state architectures, identifying overlaps and risks, and suggesting a phased roadmap.
• Design and oversee architecture patterns for regulated operations across multiple environments, including commercial and future government-hosted systems.
• Collaborate with Cloud & Infrastructure and Security & Compliance teams on implications for infrastructure and security.
• Establish approved API, event-driven, and batch integration patterns between business systems, data platforms, and domain technologies.
• Guide decisions regarding the placement of sensitive, controlled, or regulated data and workloads.
• Provide architectural oversight for ERP implementation, data platform modernization, domain onboarding, and product/engineering data initiatives.
• Develop architecture review practices, reference architectures, and reusable standards.
• Mentor software engineering teams through design reviews, architecture forums, and practical guidance.
• Serve as a strategic partner to the Sr. Director of Enterprise Data & Architecture and assist in establishing the enterprise architecture practice.
• Over 15 years of relevant experience in enterprise architecture, solution architecture, or senior architecture roles across various business domains and technology platforms.
• Proven experience in shaping enterprise technology landscapes involving applications, data platforms, and integration patterns.
• Experience in regulated, security-sensitive, or government-adjacent environments with specific constraints on sensitive data handling, segmentation, and compliance.
• Knowledge of hybrid or multi-environment architectures, such as commercial combined with government-hosted, cloud alongside on-premises, or segregated environments.
• Strong grasp of enterprise integration patterns and the trade-offs between APIs, event-driven approaches, batch movement, replication, and system coupling.
• Capability to engage with technical teams, business stakeholders, as well as security/compliance and infrastructure leaders.
• Excellent judgment, communication, and facilitation skills in ambiguous environments.
• Preferred: experience with Oracle ERP, SAP, or another significant enterprise platform.
• Preferred: experience with Databricks, Snowflake, or similar modern cloud data platforms.
• Preferred: experience leading architecture rationalization or modernization in decentralized organizations.
• Preferred: experience in defense, aerospace, federal, or highly controlled-data environments.
