This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Engage with mature opportunities during the mid-cycle phase. Take the lead in the subsequent stage of architectural exploration and design after product fit and executive sponsorship have been confirmed.
• Conduct technical design workshops. Facilitate multi-day sessions with leadership and engineering teams from prospective clients, focusing on current and target-state architecture, integration, data flows, identity, security, observability, and transition strategies.
• Create target-state reference architectures. Deliver detailed reference diagrams, integration patterns, deployment topologies, sequencing plans, and risk registers, all tailored to the prospect’s telephony stack (Genesys, Amazon Connect, Twilio, Avaya) and digital/messaging platforms.
• Convert ASAPP’s Agentic AI capabilities into specific integration patterns. Outline how ASAPP integrates, including SIP, WebSocket, call transfers, CCaaS event streams, agent desktop embeds, CRM integration, voice/digital handoffs, and AI-to-human transitions.
• Build prototypes to advance deals. When a technical inquiry is hindering a deal, rapidly create a working prototype, custom adapter, or API proof of concept. Act swiftly rather than waiting for engineering.
• Develop reusable patterns. Systematize field insights into reference architectures and design frameworks that can be utilized across the wider SE and partner ecosystem.
• Relay field experiences back to the product team. Highlight architectural trends, gaps, and opportunities to ASAPP's Product and Engineering teams.
• Assist with customer security evaluations. Collaborate with ASAPP InfoSec to address enterprise security, privacy, and compliance inquiries.
• Extensive experience. 10+ years in enterprise, solution, or domain architecture, with considerable exposure to contact center, CX, or telephony environments.
• In-depth telephony / CCaaS knowledge. Proficient with at least one of the following: Genesys (Cloud CX or Engage), Amazon Connect, Twilio Flex, or Avaya. Skilled in call routing, IVR/IVA, SIP and SIPREC, real-time media, recording, and CTI. Capable of engaging in SIP-level discussions with senior network engineers.
• Strong messaging / digital expertise. Experienced with at least one prominent digital engagement platform, such as Twilio messaging APIs, Salesforce Service Cloud Digital, Genesys Digital, or LivePerson. Comfortable designing cross-channel flows involving AI/human transitions.
• Proficient in cloud and integration technologies. Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or GCP; REST, gRPC, webhooks, event streaming; SSO/SAML/OIDC; and relevant compliance standards like SOC 2, HIPAA, and PCI.
• Ability to code prototypes. You can quickly develop a working prototype, API integration, or small proof of concept in Python or JavaScript when needed. The expectation is for a “working demo,” not “production-ready code.”
• Effective workshop leader. Capable of leading technical workshops with senior enterprise stakeholders and producing architectural documentation that clients can trust. You can transition from a CTO-level conversation to a SIP-focused engineering discussion within the same day.
• Practical and sales-focused. You articulate trade-offs clearly, suggest the simplest design that addresses the issue, and excel in closing complex enterprise deals.
• Competitive compensation with stock options.
• Comprehensive medical, vision, and dental insurance.
• 401k matching.
• Fitness and wellness stipend.
• Mobile phone reimbursement.
• Mental well-being benefits.
• Professional learning and development stipend.
• Parental leave, inclusive of adoptive and foster parents.
• 3 weeks of paid time off (increases with tenure) along with sick leave.
