This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.
• Design, develop, test, and support scalable and resilient software in alignment with Empower’s business and architectural strategies.
• Enhance and develop intricate applications, incorporating new features and improvements focused on performance, scalability, security, and maintainability.
• Collaborate with developers and architects to advance the codebase, tools, and development methodologies.
• Offer technical leadership during design finalization, code reviews, and production support and maintenance.
• Contribute to and uphold automated CI/CD pipelines.
• Create automated tests and maintain high levels of unit/functional test coverage.
• Diagnose and resolve complex production challenges.
• Implement security measures and principles of disaster recovery.
• Promote application resilience through thoughtful design and robust engineering practices.
• Develop prototypes and proofs of concept.
• Design scalable solutions, articulate trade-offs, and effectively communicate them to stakeholders.
• Generate detailed design documentation for implementation and estimation purposes.
• Contribute to the long-term architectural vision.
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams distributed across various locations.
• Advocate for coding, architecture, and process best practices while mentoring and coaching engineers.
• Engage in Agile/Scrum ceremonies.
• Lead the design and implementation of essential software components and systems.
• Undertake additional responsibilities as required.
• Over 7 years of professional experience in software engineering.
• More than 2 years of professional background in developing solutions within Salesforce Sales, Service, or Industry Clouds.
• Profound knowledge of object-oriented programming and proficiency in at least one OOP language, such as Java or Python.
• Working knowledge of AWS services, including Lambda, EC2, API Gateway, and CloudWatch.
• Familiarity with Splunk and Datadog APM.
• Experience in designing, developing, and maintaining complex software solutions that involve multiple stakeholders.
• Background in designing critical applications that interact with various internal and external systems.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies and iterative delivery processes.
• A mindset geared towards continuous learning and an interest in emerging technologies.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
• Experience in deploying updates, diagnosing production issues, and implementing integrations.
• Preferred: Over 2 years of experience with Salesforce OmniStudio or Financial Services Cloud.
• Preferred: More than 6 years of hands-on experience in OOP development using modern frameworks and tools.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field (preferred).
• Architecture-level certifications.
• Practical experience in designing and building scalable enterprise solutions.
• Solid understanding of modern integration methods.
