Principal Engineer, Python Fullstack – React, Genai

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Grasp clients’ business use cases and technical needs and translate them into technical designs.

• Create scalable, secure, and cost-effective backend platforms for LLM inference, RAG pipelines, and agent-based orchestration.

• Advocate for code quality agents and contemporary CI/CD practices.

• Collaborate with Product Managers and Architects to establish deliverables and technical strategies.

• Propel the integration of AI/ML capabilities into products.

• Define frontend architecture and UX patterns for AI-native applications.

• Lead intricate GenAI workflows that integrate LLMs, tools, APIs, structured data, and user context.

• Diagnose AI model and implementation challenges.

• Develop and maintain documentation for AI models.

• Set engineering standards for prompt design, model integration, evaluation, and observability.

• Advance GenAI platformization through reusable components, SDKs, and frameworks.

• Collaborate with product, design, data, and business leaders to create scalable technical solutions.

• Review critical designs and codebases, assisting teams with complex technical obstacles.

• Lead technical discovery and solutioning for high-impact initiatives and client or executive workshops.

• Ensure readiness for security, privacy, compliance, governance, and responsible AI practices.

• Utilize AI-assisted development tools while upholding production-grade quality.

• Align technical decisions with requirements and communicate these to developers.

• Assess alternative solutions and choose the most suitable for client needs.

• Establish NFR guidelines and benchmarks.

• Draft and review architecture and high-level design documents.

• Evaluate architecture and design for extensibility, scalability, security, design patterns, UX, and NFRs.

• Develop comprehensive solutions and define technologies, patterns, and frameworks.

• Apply technology integration insights in projects.

• Address code and review issues through systematic root-cause analysis.

• Conduct POCs to validate proposed designs and technologies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 11 years of total experience.

• More than 10 years of experience in software engineering.

• Strong proficiency in Python and modern frontend frameworks, particularly React.

• Proven track record in architecting and delivering production-grade Generative AI applications at scale.

• Experience in designing and implementing ML, generative AI, and agentic AI models and algorithms.

• Capability to drive backend deployment, security reviews, and QA pipelines.

• Experience in integrating RAG APIs and vector database pipelines.

• Familiarity with integrating cloud and on-premises AI algorithms.

• Ability to optimize AI models for performance, scalability, and efficiency.

• Experience in developing and maintaining AI pipelines, including data preprocessing, feature extraction, model training, and evaluation.

• Proven ability to lead teams in building AI products and solutions using agile methodologies.

• Experience in managing delivery across pods that build scalable AI and API services.

• Deep understanding of LLM integration patterns, RAG systems, and AI-driven UX design.

• Experience with DataRobot for architecting and building GenAI solutions, RAG agents, and deployments.

• Proven background in defining technical strategy and influencing architecture across teams or pods.

• Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP and distributed systems.

• Strong understanding of security, privacy, and governance in enterprise AI.

• Ability to convert ambiguous business challenges into robust technical architectures.

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and technical leadership.

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
