Principal Engineer, Civil

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Act as the subject matter expert and lead technical authority for civil/structural engineering initiatives.

• Supervise all civil/structural engineering activities to guarantee timely and compliant deliverables.

• Execute and evaluate civil/structural engineering designs and studies to produce necessary deliverables.

• Guide, manage, and mentor the civil/structural design team in the technical execution of PV and BESS projects.

• Create and enforce a comprehensive set of design standards and best practices.

• Engage with clients and other stakeholders to enhance project design and value.

• Collaborate with other engineering fields to ensure smooth integration of electrical design packages.

• Keep abreast of industry codes and standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil, Structural, or a related Engineering field.

• Over 10 years of experience in civil and/or structural design and engineering, including a minimum of 5 years in PV or BESS.

• Possession of a Professional Engineer license in one or more US states.

• Proven experience in leading a team of engineers and designers.

• Familiarity with AISC, ASCE, ANSI, ASTM, and other relevant codes and standards.

• Proficiency in relevant engineering software, including AutoCAD Civil 3D, L-Pile, and other applicable civil and structural analysis tools is preferred.

• Experience in EPC projects is preferred.
