Principal Engineer, Backend Systems – Fintech, Web3

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Singapore, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Lead the design and development of robust, scalable backend services and APIs.

• Define and refine architecture encompassing databases, microservices, and integrations.

• Manage critical projects from inception to production and subsequent iterations.

• Diagnose and resolve intricate performance and reliability issues at scale.

• Work alongside leadership to influence roadmap priorities and establish a long-term technical vision.

• Mentor senior engineers while advocating for engineering best practices.

• Represent the engineering team in both technical and client-facing conversations.

• Ensure that technical execution aligns with company objectives and that infrastructure remains effective under real-world financial workloads.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in backend software engineering.

• Experience in leadership roles within the fintech or blockchain sectors.

• Strong proficiency in TypeScript.

• Demonstrated success in developing scalable APIs and developer tools.

• Extensive experience with PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, and NoSQL databases.

• In-depth knowledge of AWS/cloud infrastructure.

• Practical experience with microservices, CI/CD, observability, and SSDLC.

• Understanding of public key infrastructure (PKI) and secure backend architectures.

• Outstanding problem-solving and communication abilities.

• Capability to influence technical strategy and make significant architectural decisions.
