Principal Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Design comprehensive software solutions utilizing contemporary frameworks and design methodologies.

• Facilitate system design conversations for applications with high traffic and essential business services.

• Assess and implement enhancements for scalability, observability, and resilience.

• Establish best practices concerning code quality, security, accessibility, and compliance with data privacy regulations.

• Manage intricate cross-functional projects from inception through to completion.

• Partner with product and business teams to establish a technical vision.

• Supervise the technical execution of new features and services.

• Construct and maintain distributed systems using Spring Boot microservices, Docker, and Kubernetes.

• Design and enhance MySQL and Oracle databases through indexing and tuning.

• Oversee Redis, Eureka Server, and ELK Stack for caching, service registration, monitoring, and analytics.

• Configure Nginx and Apache to ensure load balancing and high availability.

• Take ownership of Jenkins CI/CD pipelines.

• Enhance monitoring, logging, alerting, deployment automation, infrastructure as code, and site reliability practices.

• Mentor engineers while conducting code and design reviews.

• Collaborate with senior leadership and cross-departmental stakeholders on technical initiatives across the company.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or its foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.

• Over 10 years of experience in enterprise-level software development.

• Advanced expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture.

• Advanced proficiency in MySQL, Oracle, and Redis.

• Advanced skills in React and contemporary front-end frameworks.

• Advanced knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and Jenkins CI/CD.

• Advanced experience with Linux/UNIX, Nginx, Apache, and ELK Stack.

• Profound understanding of data structures, algorithms, and system design principles.

• Demonstrated capability to architect and deliver complex backend systems while mentoring technical teams.

• Strong collaboration abilities with the capacity to influence senior leaders and align multiple teams towards common objectives.

• Experience with AI platforms like Claude, Copilot, or ChatGPT is preferred.
