This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Act as the operational partner to the CTO, transforming technical vision into actionable plans, sprint priorities, and team assignments.
• Provide leadership with insights into capacity, risks, timelines, and resource allocation trade-offs.
• Manage initiatives from inception to production using AI-assisted development methodologies.
• Supervise, evaluate, and ensure quality oversight of contract developers and vendors.
• Define project scopes, set standards, and verify that deliverables adhere to usability and quality benchmarks.
• Recruit, lead, and mentor a diverse team of contractors and full-time employees.
• Establish onboarding processes for contractors, including IP/security agreements and knowledge retention practices.
• Develop review processes and safeguards to ensure the safety, compliance, and high quality of AI-generated outputs.
• Document systems, procedures, and technical contexts to maintain institutional knowledge.
• Design, construct, and validate systems that facilitate the transition from Salesforce.
• Take ownership of the strategy, phasing, and implementation of migrating core workflows from Salesforce to an internally developed platform.
• Manage data integrity, transition risks, and change management during the Salesforce migration.
• Collaborate with the legacy development team to transition to AI-first development practices.
• Oversee the technical delivery of both the patient-facing application and internal systems.
• Define the roadmap, set priorities, and establish code review, CI/CD, and release management protocols.
• Ensure that the platform and application comply with healthcare data privacy and security regulations, including HIPAA.
• Perform additional responsibilities as required to support the objectives of Lumata Health.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Demonstrated success in owning and delivering production systems from start to finish in a hands-on engineering role.
• Experience in fast-paced, high-autonomy settings with limited structure or resources.
• Proven experience in overseeing or collaborating with contractors, vendors, or remote teams.
• Familiarity with healthcare environments, including HIPAA, PHI, and BAA considerations, or the ability to quickly adapt in regulated domains (preferred).
• Strong full-stack development skills and solid technical judgment.
• Extensive experience with AI-assisted coding tools and agentic workflows.
• Capacity to independently build and deliver solutions swiftly.
• Capability to take initial concepts through to completion with minimal supervision.
• Ability to scope, guide, and quality-check the work of contractors and vendors.
• Strong focus on quality and safety, including the implementation of guardrails, validation layers, and secure practices.
• A secure and private home office that complies with company data security, confidentiality, and HIPAA policies.
• A dedicated remote workspace equipped with at least 50 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload internet speeds for each individual working from home.
• Ability to remain seated for extended periods while working on a computer.
• Ability to see, hear, speak, call, and participate in virtual meetings.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
