This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Act as the main point of contact for Employee Relations for Manufacturing & Commercial employees located in Canada while also supporting client groups in the United States.
• Receive, evaluate, and manage employee complaints and concerns, determining appropriate steps and ensuring resolution in accordance with company policy and relevant legislation.
• Provide counsel and collaborate with employees and all levels of management regarding employee relations issues.
• Spearhead workplace initiatives, investigations, performance improvement, disciplinary actions, employment terminations, restructurings, labor relations, crisis management, coaching, and conflict resolution.
• Create and implement proactive employee and labor relations strategies utilizing data to identify opportunities and mitigate risks.
• Offer leadership during restructuring efforts and employee transitions.
• Collaborate with HR Centers of Excellence on complex talent acquisition, leave management, organizational design, restructuring, and other HR-related issues.
• Record cases in ServiceNow and escalate issues to the ER/HR Director as necessary.
• Convert data and insights into practical recommendations and strategies.
• Lead or assist with ER/HR projects and change initiatives across Operations, Commercial, and/or Americas Employee Relations teams.
• Document complaints and Adverse Drug Reactions (ADR).
• Mentor peers and provide guidance, coaching, and training to other employees within the job area.
• Bachelor’s degree with at least 7 years of relevant HR experience, or an advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant HR experience.
• Bilingual in French and English — required.
• Proven understanding of Provincial Labour Legislation.
• Demonstrated experience managing labor-related issues before Provincial Labour Boards.
• Expertise in developing and implementing strategies and recommendations for Senior Leadership.
• Experience collaborating with, influencing, and/or coaching Senior Leadership.
• Strong communication skills with a proven ability to coach and influence.
• Competence in project management and process mapping.
• Proficient presentation skills.
• Preferred: Certified HR designation.
• Preferred: Certified project management and process mapping capabilities.
• Preferred: Certification in coaching or conflict resolution.
