Principal DevOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Spearhead the design, implementation, and enhancement of customer infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to guarantee strong system performance, scalability, and security.

• Mentor junior colleagues and lead automation initiatives.

• Participate in strategic discussions concerning infrastructure and deployment methodologies.

• Architect and deploy customer infrastructure across various cloud providers and bare metal setups.

• Design and oversee Kubernetes clusters for applications employing microservices architecture.

• Develop and refine CI/CD pipelines to ensure smooth software delivery.

• Plan, monitor, and manage development, staging, and production environments.

• Facilitate knowledge transfer to clients during deployment initiatives.

• Collaborate with internationally distributed teams to address technical challenges and enhance processes.

• Contribute to the Mirantis deployment knowledge repository.

• Continuously enhance tools and technologies.


⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in DevOps engineering.

• Strong background in IT automation.

• Comprehensive knowledge of Linux OS, storage, and networking.

• Experience with microservices architecture and distributed systems.

• In-depth knowledge of Kubernetes and associated tools.

• Hands-on experience with application containerization technologies such as Docker and Helm.

• Solid practical skills in Bash, Groovy, Python, or Go programming (proficiency in at least one language is required).

• Excellent command of the English language, both written and spoken.

• Strong customer-facing communication abilities.

• Robust analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Willingness and capability to travel as required for business needs and onsite project execution.

• Familiarity with the lifecycle of AI/ML models, including development, deployment, monitoring, and maintenance (this will be an advantage).

• Proficient in OpenStack and related software.
