Principal DevOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain sophisticated Azure DevOps YAML pipelines for CI/CD automation.

• Create and sustain robust PowerShell scripts for automation, monitoring, and deployment activities.

• Develop and oversee infrastructure as code (IaC) utilizing Bicep for the provisioning of Azure resources.

• Implement GitHub Copilot to streamline code generation, enhancing the speed and accuracy of feature delivery.

• Assume full ownership of assigned responsibilities, encompassing requirement analysis, implementation, documentation, and support.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify deployment requirements and provide scalable DevOps solutions.

• Actively monitor and support development, testing, and production environments, ensuring high availability and minimal downtime.

• Diagnose and resolve issues throughout the DevOps lifecycle, including build failures, deployment errors, and infrastructure challenges.

• Continuously enhance DevOps practices, tools, and processes to boost team productivity and system reliability.

• Monitor and optimize infrastructure performance, costs, and security.

• Mentor junior engineers and facilitate knowledge sharing within the team.


⛳️ Requirements

• 6–9 years of practical experience in Azure DevOps.

• Demonstrated expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Bicep and ARM templates.

• Strong background in building and maintaining Azure DevOps (ADO) YAML pipelines for CI/CD.

• Advanced scripting capabilities in PowerShell and YAML; familiarity with Unix Shell scripting is advantageous.

• Comprehensive understanding of Azure Cloud services, encompassing compute, storage, networking, and security.

• Proven experience utilizing GitHub Copilot in daily development and show expertise in configuring and using Copilot with MCP.

• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills for Azure deployments and infrastructure issues.

• Solid grasp of Application Gateway and Azure networking, including Hub-Spoke architecture, NSGs, VNets, and routing.

• Proficient in Git and source control workflows.

• Experience with .NET and RDBMS is an advantage.

• UG: B. Tech / B.E. - Any Specialization, Computers, Electronics/Telecommunication.

• PG: MS/M.Sc. (Science) – Any Specialization, M.Tech – Any Specialization, MCA – Computers.
