Principal Data Solutions Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Clearly convey GenLogs' primary capabilities to enable customers to derive maximum value from the platform and its data.

• Prepare and present customized examples and demonstrations for clients in brokerage, insurance, carrier, and government sectors.

• Distill intricate data capabilities into compelling narratives that link to business outcomes.

• Engage with high-value existing and potential customers, including approximately 1–2 trips per month.

• Conduct discovery sessions to identify valuable use cases, challenges, and pain points.

• Respond to detailed technical inquiries during the sales process and guide discussions towards value realization.

• Recognize and prioritize significant issues utilizing GenLogs data and relevant business context.

• Swiftly create proof-of-concept solutions to showcase value and confirm strategic direction.

• Establish technical requirements and construct functional prototypes.

• Collaborate with data scientists and engineers to transform POCs into robust, scalable production solutions.

• Direct technical teams and contribute to the establishment of innovative capabilities.

• Relay customer feedback internally to shape technical priorities and development efforts.

• Advocate for customer value and ensure internal focus aligns with market demands.

• Collaborate with product, engineering, data science, sales, and leadership teams.

• Gain in-depth knowledge of GenLogs' data environment, capabilities, and limitations.

• Create and sustain reusable demos, examples, reference solutions, and narratives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven track record of translating technical complexities into business value.

• Exceptional communication and storytelling abilities for both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Proficient in SQL.

• Experience working directly in Snowflake or a similar modern cloud data warehouse.

• Capability to independently analyze, model, and interpret large, complex datasets.

• Skill in rapidly developing prototypes and data applications using Python and Streamlit or equivalent tools.

• Demonstrated expertise in formulating technical requirements and guiding technical teams from concept to scalable solution.

• Strong initiative and self-motivation.

• Comfort with ambiguity in a dynamic environment.

• Willingness and capacity to travel to customers approximately 1–2 times per month.

• Prior experience in consulting or professional services is preferred.

• Direct, confident experience in customer-facing roles, ideally as a solutions architect, sales engineer, or technical expert within a sales cycle.

• Domain knowledge in freight, logistics, supply chain, transportation, or insurance/underwriting.

• Familiarity with fraud, risk, or anomaly-detection applications.

• Experience contributing customer insights to product roadmaps and prioritization.
