This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Act as a connector between intricate technical architecture and strategic business objectives.

• Function as the main strategic ally to client business leaders, ensuring alignment of technical data solutions with corporate aspirations while promoting reliability and "clean data" for all stakeholders.

• Spearhead the creation of complex, large-scale data architectures and multi-year technology strategies.

• Supervise the performance and quality of "team-of-teams" delivery.

• Lead the assessment and resolution of critical platform incidents while maintaining open communication with clients.

• Establish robust governance frameworks and compliance measures.

• Foster an organizational culture that prioritizes knowledge sharing and implement best practices across various communities of practice.

• Impact long-term organizational health by enhancing platform efficiency and leading strategic recruitment initiatives.


⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in a principal engineering capacity.

• Extensive knowledge of cloud data platforms such as Azure or AWS, particularly with Databricks.

• Proficient in Pythonic data processing tools like Pyspark and SparkSQL.

• Solid understanding of data modeling principles for both relational and non-relational databases.

• Expertise in SQL and familiarity with data integration and ETL technologies.

• Comprehensive knowledge of big data technologies and frameworks.

• Strong understanding of data governance and data security best practices.

• Analytical mindset with keen attention to detail and a consultative approach.

• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management abilities.
