Principal Data Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

📋 Description

• Provide technical leadership to a multidisciplinary team of data scientists and data engineers to develop, enhance, and sustain data products.

• Engage in a diverse range of projects across various clients and subject matter domains.

• Take part in discussions regarding design and architecture.

• Work in tandem with strategy, customer experience, product, and non-technical program management teams.

• Ensure solutions adhere to security and performance best practices.

• Develop and maintain necessary documentation, including design documents, for clients.

• Communicate effectively with customer team members to align on technical solutions.

• Comprehend requirements and devise viable technical solutions by selecting suitable frameworks.

• Ensure a stable and efficient development environment.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in architecture design and technical leadership.

• Proven expertise in designing, developing, and deploying pipelines, data lakes, data meshes, and other data products.

• Strong ability to understand, question, prioritize, and translate business challenges into data solutions (BI, Analytics, deterministic and statistical models, machine learning).

• Significant experience with Cloud platforms (Azure or AWS).

• Skill in identifying, gathering, and prioritizing Non-Functional Requirements, technical challenges, and environmental/client constraints.

• Familiarity with Data Platforms (Snowflake, Databricks).

• Experience in data pipeline orchestration tools such as Microsoft Data Factory or Apache Airflow.

• Proficiency in scaling data workloads.

• Experience with CI/CD and MLOps pipelines.

• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code.

• Experience collaborating with pre-sales, presenting data solutions, and demonstrating technical capabilities to non-technical audiences.

• Ability to create proof of concepts and develop complex mechanisms.

• Eagerness to work with various technologies and a commitment to continuous learning.

• Capability to share knowledge with junior team members.

• Advanced/Fluent level of English.
