Principal Communications Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Spearhead the formulation and integration of internal and external communication strategies throughout the region.

• Act as the main communication liaison for international leadership across Western Europe, Japan, and ANZ.

• Design and implement cohesive internal and external communication strategies that align with business priorities, the Medtronic Mission, and CST objectives.

• Manage the comprehensive planning and execution of regional communication initiatives.

• Collaborate with Integrated Communications, Global Marketing, operating units, and local communicators to promote a unified "One CST" strategy.

• Enhance and safeguard the company’s reputation through media relations, thought leadership, support for product launches, crisis communication, and market development efforts.

• Direct internal communication and employee engagement strategies that link employees with business priorities and organizational changes.

• Evaluate communication effectiveness and apply insights to continually improve strategies, enhance message delivery, and maximize impact across regions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related discipline.

• At least 7 years of experience in corporate communications, public relations, or integrated communications (or 5+ years with an advanced degree).

• Demonstrable experience in developing and executing integrated communication strategies across various channels and audiences.

• Proficient in English.

• Experience in global or multi-market environments, with an awareness of cultural and regional nuances.

• Strong executive presence with the capability to influence and advise senior leadership.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
