Principal Cloud Solution Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with enterprise clients to comprehend their business objectives, application portfolios, and technology strategies.

• Design and architect cloud solutions utilizing Azure, AWS, GCP, hybrid cloud, and cloud-native technologies.

• Facilitate strategic discovery sessions and solution workshops with both executive and technical stakeholders.

• Create cloud modernization roadmaps that are aligned with business outcomes.

• Assist clients in navigating large-scale cloud migrations, application modernization, DevOps adoption, and infrastructure transformation initiatives.

• Ensure that solutions are secure, scalable, resilient, and optimized for long-term success.

• Act as a trusted advisor to senior IT leaders and decision-makers.

• Provide support for pre-sales engagements, solution positioning, and responses to RFPs.

• Mentor architects and contribute to the development of Connection's Cloud Center of Excellence.

• Remain updated on emerging cloud technologies, market trends, and industry best practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in cloud architecture, enterprise infrastructure, application modernization, or similar technical consulting positions.

• Current cloud certifications in Azure, AWS, and/or Google Cloud.

• Proven track record in leading complex cloud transformation and migration projects.

• Extensive experience in customer-facing, consultative technology roles.

• Ability to engage and influence senior IT executives and business leaders.

• Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, networking, security, automation, and governance.

• Experience in designing enterprise-scale cloud and hybrid-cloud architectures.

• Exceptional skills in communication, presentation, and relationship-building.

• Highly valued experience in cloud security and governance, DevOps and CI/CD automation, Kubernetes and container orchestration, Infrastructure as Code, serverless computing, API management, cloud-native application development, disaster recovery and business continuity solutions, data and AI platforms, enterprise networking, and cloud connectivity.

• Familiarity with Azure DevOps, GitHub, Jenkins, Spinnaker, Chef, or Puppet is a plus.
