Principal Architect – Virtualization and Cloud-Native Technologies

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.

📋 Description

• Taking ownership of system design and implementation, guiding the engineering team while ensuring alignment with overarching objectives.

• Collaborating with product managers and architects to influence product direction.

• Contributing to and shaping the engineering roadmap through partnership with product and engineering management as well as other business stakeholders.

• Establishing best practices, sharing knowledge, and providing mentorship.

• Working alongside engineering teams in an Agile environment that promotes innovative solutions, swift development cycles, and open communication.

⛳️ Requirements

• 15 years of relevant experience.

• Bachelor's degree or an equivalent qualification.

• Extensive experience in developing large-scale fault-tolerant production services utilizing Virtualization and Cloud-Native technologies (e.g., qemu, kvm, Kubernetes, Cilium, etc.).

• Advanced understanding of Kubernetes concepts, including Operator/Controller patterns and custom resources.

• Experience and solid understanding of operating systems, containers, and related technologies (e.g., systemd, docker, containerd, ArgoCD, etc.).

• Significant proficiency in Linux, Go, Python, and Bash.

• Strong understanding of SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS, with experience in one or more public cloud platforms.
