Principal Architect – Snowflake

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee lead qualification, technical discovery, design of target architecture, evaluation of effort and risk, and development of technical content for proposals and Statements of Work.

• Establish and nurture technical relationships with customer architects and technical stakeholders.

• Evaluate migration effort, complexity, and associated risks.

• Review architectural decisions throughout project delivery to ensure they align with the initial scope and proposal.

• Proactively identify and resolve project risks and issues at an early stage.

• Stay engaged in the delivery process and take responsibility for technical solutions and their outcomes.

• Define the technical content, scope, success criteria, measurable outcomes, and evidence for Snowflake service offerings.

• Develop repeatable frameworks and standards for delivery teams.

• Work collaboratively with Snowflake field teams and specialist architects on joint customer engagements.

• Navigate technical challenges, feedback, and differing opinions with Snowflake architects and specialists.


⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive expertise in platform architecture.

• In-depth knowledge of migration and consolidation processes.

• Strong understanding of data engineering.

• Adept across semantic/context layers, governance, and consumption economics to determine when specialist support is necessary.

• Significant hands-on experience with Snowflake, acquired either through a Snowflake partner organization, direct experience with Snowflake, or managing a large Snowflake environment internally.

• Proven track record of delivering enterprise-scale migration and consolidation projects.

• Capability to discuss at least one major migration engagement in detail, including lessons learned and outcomes achieved.

• Experience in transferring data from SAP and Oracle environments is especially advantageous.

• Demonstrated success at the Principal Architect level or equivalent.

• Recognized as the primary technical authority in customer engagements.

• Trusted to commit organizations to technical methodologies, architectures, and delivery scopes.

• Experience in presales environments, or delivery leadership experience with a capacity to lead customer discussions, define scope and approach, develop proposals and Statements of Work, and uphold sales-process commitments.

• Comfortable collaborating with and being challenged by vendor architects and technical specialists.

• Snowflake certification is preferred.

• Capability to quickly obtain Snowflake certification if not already certified.
