This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Business Analysts, and stakeholders to define outcomes, refine product vision, and convert requirements into practical architectural solutions.
• Create architectural blueprints, high-level and low-level designs, technical decision records, and implementation guidance for platform products.
• Design secure, scalable, and reusable services, APIs, data storage patterns, integration methodologies, user experience capabilities, and shared components.
• Engage with engineering teams during implementation through hands-on prototyping, code review, design pairing, design assurance, and management of technical debt.
• Choose technologies, advocate for reuse, establish development standards, and assist in creating common frameworks or accelerators.
• Take part in planning and estimation, manage the architecture backlog, and make trade-offs regarding cost, risk, quality, security, and time-to-market.
• Work in coordination with architects, security, platform, and engineering teams to ensure alignment of designs with enterprise standards and delivery constraints.
• Responsibly implement AI-assisted and agentic engineering practices to enhance delivery, quality, documentation, testing, and developer productivity.
• Extensive architectural experience across cloud-native applications, integration, data, and security domains.
• Proficient in software engineering with at least one modern programming language such as C#, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Python.
• Comfortable reading and reviewing production code.
• Hands-on experience with agentic AI coding tools and AI-assisted delivery workflows, including GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Windsurf, Claude Code, OpenAI Codex-style agents, or similar tools.
• Practical experience with Azure, covering compute, storage, networking, security, Azure Policy, Entra ID, RBAC, Key Vault, and tenant-aware identity patterns.
• Familiarity with APIs, microservices, containers, and Kubernetes, preferably AKS.
• Experience with CI/CD and DevSecOps practices utilizing Azure DevOps and/or GitHub.
• Capability to design access management, authentication, and authorization patterns.
• Strong understanding of compliance, in-application security, secure-by-design patterns, and enterprise technology standards.
• Proven experience in designing for reusability, maintainability, observability, cost optimization, and management of technical debt.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with senior stakeholders, product teams, engineers, and architects across distributed teams.
• Proficient in both conversational English and Spanish; language skills will be assessed.
• Foreigners residing in Mexico must possess a valid INE, CURP, NSS, and RFC.
• Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure Security Engineer, TOGAF, SAFe, or comparable architecture/security certification is preferred.
