Principal Architect – Security, Performance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with the wider Dealer Tire security teams to consistently monitor, assess, and strengthen the overall security posture across all consumer-facing digital platforms.

• Act as the primary subject matter expert (SME) for all cloud deployments, consumer data privacy protections, PII safeguarding, and PCI compliance requirements, while providing high-level technical blueprints and structural approvals for annual SOC 2 and PCI security lifecycles.

• Assess intricate pull requests, infrastructure scripts, and integrations from third-party vendors to ensure conformity with established architectural guidelines.

• Discover, prototype, and advocate for the adoption of innovative technology stacks, edge-computing methodologies, and optimization strategies that enhance organizational value.

• Serve as a top-tier advisory consultant to the SRE, Core Systems, and DevOps management teams as required for Infrastructure.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in information technology or a related discipline.

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in Information Technology and business settings.

• At least 5 years of direct involvement in production cybersecurity architecture, backend software development, or cloud infrastructure positions.

• Certification as a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) is preferred.

• Demonstrated expertise in high-availability e-commerce environments.

• Strong foundation in information security practices and compliance regulations.

• Exceptional communication skills and a team-oriented approach.
