Principal Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Develop and refine Ekahau’s multi-year architectural strategy, ensuring it aligns with the company's business objectives and long-term vision.

• Oversee architectural governance and reviews to maintain uniform technical standards across engineering teams.

• Design intricate, high-availability services and establish company-wide benchmarks for technical excellence and systemic reliability.

• Serve as a liaison between engineering teams and product stakeholders.

• Raise the technical standards by mentoring senior engineers and architects.

• Identify risks across systems and implement proactive measures to mitigate technical debt and prevent systemic failures.

⛳️ Requirements

• Vast experience in software development, particularly in architecting full-stack SaaS applications.

• Proficient in modern backend and cross-platform technologies (Java, Kotlin, Typescript, Postgres) and the AWS ecosystem.

• Strong understanding of service-oriented and layered architectures, with experience in assessing and integrating new technologies based on business requirements.

• A collaborative leader who is hands-on, results-oriented, and able to convey technical plans and trade-offs to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Capability to balance urgent delivery demands with the preservation of long-term architectural integrity.

• Over 10 years of pertinent software development experience.

• A background check is mandatory.
