This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut.
• Join a team dedicated to delivering technology solutions that align with our business strategy and enhance business value.
• Collaborate on the development of roadmaps, architectures, standards, best practice documentation, and reference implementations for starter code.
• Analyze market trends, make informed decisions between purchasing and developing solutions, and evaluate costs while considering their impact on targeted business outcomes.
• Establish a future state architecture that supports and integrates the strategy for Artificial Intelligence, APIs, data storage, cloud infrastructures, cloud services, and microservices.
• Work closely with technology and business partners to optimize business applications and systems that incorporate modern architectural practices, particularly in AI.
• Formulate and uphold a strategic vision that aligns capabilities with the CVS Health platform, driven by key business factors and technology trends.
• Collaborate on creating enterprise frameworks that encourage reuse, lower costs, manage risks, and accelerate time to market.
• Build and nurture robust relationships with technology and business partners to foster trust and influence significant business outcomes and decisions.
• Offer guidance, direction, and mentorship to engineers and stakeholders on the architecture and design of relevant applications.
• Over 15 years of relevant work experience, with at least 8 years focused on architecture.
• More than 10 years of experience in developing large-scale business applications using modern technologies and architectures.
• At least 10 years of experience in designing complex integrations, emphasizing performance engineering and loose coupling through APIs, microservices, and event-driven architecture.
• Over 8 years of expertise in modern programming languages, frameworks, and technologies.
• At least 6 years of experience facilitating the implementation of north star architectures by delivery teams through mentoring, building proofs of concept (POCs), starter code, and other collaborative efforts.
• Profound understanding of architectural methodologies and best practices.
• A recognized technical leader with comprehensive knowledge of full stack technology.
• Ability to recognize the influence architectural strategies can have on strategic business decisions.
• Extensive experience in requirements analysis, estimation, systems and application design, and testing.
• Expert knowledge of architectural methodologies, development of standards, governance, design patterns, and best practices.
• A diverse technical background with substantial expertise in AI/ML/Agentic AI, cloud technologies, data platforms, hybrid solutions, and scalable operations.
• Exceptional skills in collaboration, influence, negotiation, coaching, and coalition-building.
