• In the role of Principal AI Engineer at Rula, you will take charge of the AI infrastructure that influences the integration of generative AI within mental healthcare.
• You will work at the intersection of architecture, applied research, and clinical realities, crafting robust, production-level systems that enhance patient engagement and provider workflows on a large scale.
• This position is highly hands-on, where you will serve as a technical multiplier, designing essential platform components (RAG, agentic loops) while establishing benchmarks for technical excellence and safety in a regulated setting.
• A minimum of 10 years in software engineering, with at least 7 years in Public Cloud environments (AWS, GCP, etc.).
• Over 5 years of experience in designing and scaling distributed systems.
• More than 5 years of extensive experience with Python and proficiency in at least one additional backend language (TypeScript, Java, Go, etc.).
• At least 2 years of experience in developing AI-driven products at scale using foundation models (OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, etc.).
• A minimum of 2 years working with LLM integration methods such as RAG, agentic loops, and orchestration frameworks like LangChain or LlamaIndex.
• Over 3 years of experience in MLOps, data pipelines, evaluation, and observability systems aimed at continuous model enhancement.
