Principal AI Architect – AI Translation Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Design and spearhead the architecture of an advanced conversational AI platform that replaces conventional search with intelligent dialogue.

• Architect the AI orchestration layer that harmonizes large language models, specialized agents, retrieval systems, recommendation engines, and external APIs.

• Develop systems that comprehend user intent, ascertain necessary information, source data from various real-time providers, analyze competing options, and generate conversational replies.

• Gather and prioritize information from ticketing providers, hotels, airlines, restaurants, transportation services, mapping platforms, weather services, and other third-party data sources.

• Design AI-native systems for multi-step task planning, conversational context, tool execution, result ranking, and personalized recommendations.

• Establish technical vision and define architectural standards.

• Assess emerging AI technologies.

• Mentor senior engineers, architects, and principal engineers.

• Make strategic long-term decisions concerning LLM strategy, retrieval architecture, agent design, memory management, semantic search, vector databases, knowledge graphs, and AI evaluation frameworks.

• Integrate the conversational platform with backend infrastructure, payments, blockchain, messaging, mini-programs, and platform services.

• Ensure scalability, reliability, performance, and user experience across the ecosystem.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in architecting and delivering production-scale AI platforms utilized by a large user base.

• Demonstrated leadership in a Principal Engineer, Chief Architect, Distinguished Engineer, or similar senior technical role.

• Extensive expertise in Large Language Models (LLMs), AI agents, multi-agent systems, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), semantic search, and contemporary AI orchestration frameworks.

• Strong comprehension of recommendation engines, ranking algorithms, personalization, and conversational AI.

• Significant experience in designing distributed, cloud-native systems capable of functioning at a global scale with high availability and low latency.

• Practical experience in integrating complex third-party APIs and developing systems that merge multiple real-time data sources into a cohesive experience.

• Exceptional architectural judgment, with the capability to simplify intricate technical challenges into scalable and maintainable solutions.

• Proven ability to lead senior engineering teams, mentor architects and principal engineers, set engineering standards, and make long-term technical decisions.

• Strong communication skills, with the capacity to collaborate across engineering, product, and executive leadership.

• An entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for creating category-defining products and addressing unsolved challenges.
