This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Analyze the existing merchant processing statements of potential clients to evaluate current expenses, effective rates, and interchange usage.
• Identify inefficiencies in pricing, opportunities for improvement, and misalignments in programs.
• Generate data-driven summaries that quantify potential savings.
• Assess client business profiles, transaction volumes, and industry segments to find the best fit for the Payliance program.
• Stay informed about Payliance's product offerings and program portfolio.
• Collaborate with sales leadership and product teams regarding complex or high-volume accounts.
• Create tailored pricing proposals alongside sellers.
• Develop narrative proposals that articulate value, savings, and program recommendations.
• Maintain pricing templates, tools, and calculators.
• Coordinate internal approvals for non-standard or exceptional pricing.
• Assist sellers during client interactions, presentations, and proposal submissions.
• Prepare and format final proposals for delivery to clients.
• Address ad hoc pricing inquiries, revisions, and competitive re-quotes.
• Monitor proposal outcomes and conversion metrics.
• Collaborate with Operations and Finance on pricing feasibility and margin requirements.
• Provide competitive pricing insights to product and leadership teams.
• Aid in onboarding new sales team members on pricing tools, methodologies, and program structures.
• Over 5 years of experience in payments, merchant services, or financial services pricing, analysis, or sales support.
• Strong knowledge of credit/debit card interchange, processing fee structures, and terminology within the payment industry.
• Demonstrated ability to read and interpret merchant processing statements.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets for financial modeling and analysis.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in numerical analysis.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the capability to present complex data clearly.
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic sales environment.
• Preferred experience with payment processing platforms, merchant portals, or CRM systems such as Salesforce.
• Familiarity with lending interchange programs is a plus.
• Previous experience supporting a B2B sales team in a pricing analyst or sales engineer role is preferred.
• An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field is preferred.
• Experience in a private equity-owned, venture-backed, or rapidly growing startup environment is preferred.
• Proven ability to utilize AI tools for statement reviews, proposal drafting, and pricing analysis is preferred.
• Experience in applying AI to enhance recurring workflows is preferred.
• Ability to assess the accuracy of AI-generated outputs is preferred.
