This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Oversee the design, development, and implementation of AI-driven pricing models in retail, DIP (buy/loan), and Historic Pricing techniques.
• Create data acquisition and curation pipelines to facilitate training and validation of pricing models.
• Develop specialized pricing models for luxury purses, handbags, electronics, and tools.
• Utilize Gen AI and LLM-based methods for product matching, aliasing, and the cleanup of Master Data Management.
• Incorporate external and competitive pricing data into pricing models.
• Design and operationalize infrastructure for pricing experimentation, including pilots, A/B testing, monitoring, and trigger logic.
• Streamline pricing pipelines in collaboration with Data Engineering, transitioning from manual processes to scalable, monitored, AI-enhanced systems.
• Establish optimized pricing strategies and parameters by category, while tracking performance metrics such as margin, sales velocity, inventory turnover, penetration, acceptance, and average price.
• Collaborate with the Pricing Product Manager to devise pricing strategies.
• Conduct root cause analysis on pricing discrepancies alongside Pricing Analysts, identifying issues related to data, aliasing, MDM, and methodologies.
• Execute rigorous descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive pricing analytics, ensuring thorough testing and documentation.
• Supervise research related to pricing algorithms, AI frameworks, and data architectures.
• Ensure that pricing models and data science methodologies adhere to scientific, ethical, and engineering standards.
• Convey results of pricing models, delivery options, and business implications to business and executive stakeholders.
• Work with executives to influence data-driven pricing decisions and promote AI adoption.
• Handle ad hoc requests and manage projects as needed.
• Mentor and guide data scientists and pricing analysts, establishing standards for modeling, experimentation, and peer review.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science or a related discipline.
• Over 15 years of professional experience in software development.
• At least 5 years of experience in data science, analytics, or machine learning roles.
• Practical experience in developing pricing, demand, or revenue optimization models.
• A minimum of 5 years in pricing data collection and/or product data collection.
• Demonstrated experience in leading large-scale data acquisition or machine learning projects from inception to deployment.
• Strong preference for candidates with experience in applying Gen AI and LLMs to production scenarios.
• Preference for individuals with expertise in pricing experimentation, including A/B testing, pilot design, and causal inference.
• Experience in retail, e-commerce, resale, or secondhand-goods pricing is advantageous.
